Oregon has no sales tax at all — no state rate, no local additions — which makes it the default choice for testing the zero-tax branch of a checkout flow. Pair an Oregon address with a California one and your tax calculation logic gets both extremes. ZIP codes run 97001–97920 (Portland in 972xx), area codes are 503/971 in the northwest and 541 elsewhere.
How to fill Oregon addresses into forms
- Street Address takes the house number and street name.
- City must be one of the Oregon sample cities, e.g. Portland, Eugene, Salem.
- State accepts either the full name "Oregon" or the two-letter code "OR".
- ZIP Code has to match the selected city — mixing regions is the most common validation failure.
